Monday, November 21, 2016 — After the impressive yield on the World Beer Awards a few weeks ago, Lindemans Brewery wins big once more at the Brussels Beer Challenge. The results of a 3-day-tasting by a panel of 80 international experts were announced earlier today at the Horeca Expo in Ghent.

The results of the jury:

  • Winner in the category "Old style fruit beers": Oude Kriek Cuvée René
  • Winner in the category "Fruit beers": Cassis Lindemans
  • Winner in the category "Herb & Spice": Spontanbasil
  • Winner in the category "Old-style Gueuze Lambic ": Oude Gueuze Cuvée René Special Blend 2010

On top of that, the most prestigious award of the Brussels Beer Challenge, the ‘International Revelation COMAC Trophy’, (the best of all the gold-awarded beers) went to Oude Gueuze Cuvée René Special Blend 2010

“We are absolutely over the moon with this appreciation””, says Geert Lindemans, General Manager of the brewery. “Especially because we win the top award in each of the categories of beers we produce. It is truly a great reward for all our work, mixing the rich tradition of complex, authentic lambic beers with innovation.”

For all who is planning on visiting the Horeca Expo in Ghent, feel free to stop by at the Lindemans stand to taste our ‘Cuvée René Special Blend 2010’. And do let us know if you agree with the expert jury.
